A way of life or style of living that reflects the attitudes and values of my family and I, is what I define as being healthy. Practicing healthy eating, exercise, and putting the steps, actions and strategies into place helps me achieve optimum health.
After teaching Elementary/middle school for 27 years and coaching multiple sports at a variety of levels from youth to high school, I made the decision to change my direction and here I am at Opp Family Chiropractic. Having worked for Minnesota Epilepsy Group and Bethesda Clinic in St. Paul in the early 90’s has helped ease the transition from classroom to clinic.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of North Dakota; a Master’s in Children’s Literature from St. Catherine’s University; and a Registered Medical Assistant certificate from Brown Institute. I am a blessed mom of two children and two dogs. I enjoy flower gardening and arranging, photography, traveling, going to concerts and movies and am involved in church and sports booster clubs.
A little-known fact about me is I have met Mickey Mantle and Phil Jackson due to my father’s involvement and my love of sports and have attended some 55+ concerts (not counting my children’s!)
