I was raised in a small town (Brodhead) in southern Wisconsin. It is a town with a population of around 3200 people. Everyone knew just about everyone. I believe I was blessed to live in a small town to learn from all the amazing people of all ages that lived there. I did, however, discover that I enjoy living here in the metro area of Minnesota, it gives me a lot of opportunities and activities to choose from such as movies, theater and just about anything one could possibly ask for.
Being a chiropractor was not my first thought when going to college. It was brought to my attention by a friend who was planning on becoming a chiropractor. After learning more about the profession, touring a chiropractic university, and shadowing a local chiropractor at a family practice, I decided to pursue the career and become a chiropractor.
I graduated from UW-River Falls with a Bachelor’s degree of Science. I attended Northwestern Health Sciences University, where I received a Doctor of Chiropractic. Studies included anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics, dermatology, radiology, and an emphasis on chiropractic technique. I have received training in multiple chiropractic techniques modalities including: Activator, Graston, Cranial-Sacral, Posture analysis, Flexion-Distraction, and others. I will be using these with my patients.
I have always had an interest in the more natural ways of health and healing. Being a chiropractor helps me practice this and help others. I have a deep desire to assist people in understanding themselves. Giving them the tools and the knowledge to help them live happy and healthy lives is in my practice plan. Using chiropractic and good healthy choices, the body can do what it needs to heal and take care of itself.
Spending time with friends and family is something that brings me joy. I like going to movies, going for walks and hikes, and spending time outdoors. If I have time, I also enjoy binge watching popular TV shows (Yellowstone, True Crime, Mandalorian, and others) and playing video games or board games.
I really love animals; I grew up interacting with a variety. I do not have a pet currently; I really did not have time with graduate school but I would like to have one sometime soon. I want to have a dog or two sometime in the future. But for now, I visit with my friends’ animals, and my parents’ dog when I go home.
I look forward to meeting you all and helping with all your health care needs. I can answer any questions you may have. Please come and say hi and introduce yourself.
