Why should men be adjusted?
It is actually important for everyone with a functioning nervous system to be adjusted. Keeping the nervous system functioning at a high level keeps the muscular system working together as a cohesive unit which improves mobility and flexibility. It also improves immunity – meaning that less sick days are needed, helps process stress – which results in keeping up with busy schedules and prevents burnouts, and it also helps to regulate hormones such as testosterone.
We all know someone who doesn’t like to go to the doctor or appointments in general until the last possible minute. Most chiropractic visits are not from a traumatic incident but instead are from a multitude of events or microtraumas that snowball over time. This snowball effect will eventually lead to a “crisis” when work has to be missed or you are forced to go into the doctor because of the amount of dysfunction occurring. I often talk about the “straw that broke the camel’s back” with my patients. Instead of getting to this point, it is ideal to heal from the initial incident rather than trying to recover from a bigger incident.
Although your aches, pains, and dysfunction may seem small or something that can be ignored right now, think about its effects if it became any bigger. What would it prevent you from doing? Our goal is to help you thrive, now and over time. This means helping your body heal so that you can live the life you want to! Whether that is playing with kids or grandkids, working, mowing or doing fun activities you are passionate about.
