I was born and raised in Oak Grove, MN and graduated from St. Francis High School in 2000. I ran Cross Country and Track for 6 years.
I went to BYU Idaho in 2000 and the University of Minnesota in 2001, where I majored in Psychology. In 2002, I decided to pursue a more active career and enrolled in massage school when I realized prolonged sitting wasn’t for me. I truly enjoyed and excelled in massage school. Our bodies are a fascinating miracle and I love learning how they work – whether it be the brain, the muscles or any other of the intricate systems of the body. I completed my massage certificate in 2003 and began working as a massage therapist in Elk River, MN where I also provided professional skin care. Two years later I started working in Cambridge, MN at what is now Willowbridge.
I married in 2004 and took a break from working as a therapist in 2006 when we started our family. My husband and I, along with our 4 children, make the most of our 12 acres of nature. We especially enjoy taking walks, bike riding, boating and swimming on the weekends. I also enjoy a good book and cooking for fun.
I was a happy and satisfied patient of Opp Family Chiropractic before I began working there in September of 2016. I was delighted to be reminded how much I enjoy working with patients – how I can help decrease their pain and increase their ability to better relax and cope with stress. It is a great blessing to help someone feel better, so they can do the things they enjoy. I especially enjoy working with patients suffering from neck pain, headaches, and migraines, as well as those individuals who overuse their forearms and hands in computer work, hand tools, repetitive sports and hobbies.
