The Kinetisense system is a markerless motion sensor device that uses Microsoft Kinect technology to instantaneously detect the client’s body using thousands of data points, allowing therapists to measure within centimeters of where your body is postured. The Kinetisense system provides three-dimensional posture analysis and it accurately measures a client’s range of motion. The device tracks the client’s improvements in all aspects, whether it be balance, range of motion, or posture.
Kinetisense has revolutionized the way that rehab practitioners and fitness trainers acquire and assess human bio-mechanical data. Kinetisense is an accurate, objective and efficient analysis tool. The system also allows therapists to video record their patients completing tasks nearly any functional movement. This allows the therapists to pinpoint exact moments during a movement where the patient went from being in alignment to falling out of alignment, and thus compromising their joints or muscular structures. Kinetisense system also offers an additional feature that is instrumental in preventing the development of future injuries or pain. The newest feature called KAMS (Kinetisense Advanced Movement Screen) is the most advanced functional movement screen on the market.
When beginning treatment, Therapists initially assess all of patients and typically reassess after a few weeks of treatment to measure patient progress. This also allows the Opp Team to analyze injuries better, knowing where patients were positioned before any recent injuries or problems that may have occurred. Cutting edge technology such as the Kinetisense may be what changes healthcare and the lives of thousands as it helps in the detection of susceptible joints that have yet to experience detriment. This early detection can help keep patients active, healthy, pain and injury free. Other organizations such as the NBA, MLB, and U.S. Olympic Teams have all also used this program to better optimize their athletes health and performance.
